Please be advised that measles vaccinations are available for infants between 6 months and 12 months old due to the recent measles outbreak.

Officials said a student was present at the school on Jan. 7 briefly before leaving due to feeling symptoms that were later confirmed to be measles.

We’re happy to report flu and RSV levels are way down.
That said, a significant measles outbreak is occurring in a neighboring county, and measles can spread rapidly—especially to infants and young children.

💉 We are offering early measles vaccination for babies 6–12 months.

Blue Ridge Pediatrics is pleased to welcome Lauren Kerfoot, a nurse practitioner student, who will be learning with us for the next couple of months.

Lauren Kerfoot is a Doctoral Nurse Practitioner student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University. She began her nursing practice at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh before relocating to South Carolina, where she has practiced across multiple settings, including inpatient pediatrics, outpatient pediatrics, outpatient internal medicine, and elementary school nursing. She resides in Pendleton with her husband, Christopher, and their three children. Lauren is passionate about healthcare access and equity.
