I don’t typically post my personal life on my business page. These are two reasons why I got into birthwork. Researching for decisions I was making for my own labor and delivery turned into knowledge, snowballed into trainings, certifications and a career as a doula and childbirth educator.
My two reasons aren’t babies anymore. They aren’t easily dropped off at Grandma’s house or to farm with my husband while I jet off to a birth. They have school pickup, basketball practices, piano, spelling lists, recitals and performances. No one could pay me enough to miss their events.
I can’t predict my availability 9 months from now which makes it hard to plan around something as unpredictable as a birth. I have been referring doula requests to local doulas whom I trust to be a great addition to any birth team. I’m currently only taking very minimal clients, friends and past clients for a season. I’m always available for a consultation or references of area doulas. Thanks for your understanding. 🩷

Baby #70! Thank you to my clients for choosing me to participate in the most precious moments in your life. I am taking a step back to spend more time with my family and have been slowing down the number of clients I take. I will still be teaching birth classes for Her Health. I may not be available for your birth but I can provide a list of other local doulas who would be a wonderful support for you! Thank you!☺️

PSA from your friendly doula. It is incredibly cold outside and with dropping temps many people are choosing to stay warm indoors. Please plan accordingly and book your doula early for those babies due this fall. 😉

Childbirth Education
Recently trained with the ICEA, Nicole offers premium Childbirth educational courses. To help you prepare for your labor, the classes specify in variations of normal labor and birth. Parents learn the stages of labor and the hormones that drive the physiological changes in birth. Most importantly, parents will be able to depict that birth is a natural, normal and healthy event. Nicole also touches on relaxation and comfort techniques that will be vital to you and your partner during your visit in Labor and Delivery. If you should decide to hire Nicole for doula services, the fee from her classes can go toward the cost of her Doula services.
Prenatal Services
Nicole works closely to give your family the tools and resources needed to achieve the childbirth experience you desire. You will be relieved knowing your doula has prioritized you and is always available to support your needs in the final weeks of your pregnancy. During customized in-home sessions, you will discover and discuss what is important to you. As you work together, You’ll have the confidence to navigate through your birth options fitted to your unique needs.
Labor & Birth Support
When it is time to welcome your baby, you can be confident that Nicole is ready and prepared to help you. Offering 24/7 on-call support, she is able to guide you through your concerns and questions as they arise. Nicole is armed with experience and a variety of comfort techniques and materials to help you during your labor. Always respecting your birth choices, she gives continuous physical and emotional support during your labor.
Postpartum Services
Get the rest you need to recover. Nicole offers light housekeeping and meals as you bond with your new baby. She is able to optimize your experience breastfeeding with lactation support should you need reassurance. Nicole is aware the nights are long for new parents, and with working schedules it gets tricky to find a routine. You can sleep a little easier knowing Nicole will come to you and care for baby so you can rest. She can also offer additional community referrals based on your needs.
Bereavement Services
Nicole offers complimentary bereavement services should you experience miscarriage or infant loss. Nicole is trained and certified through StillBirthday which specializes in walking alongside families who experience birth in any trimester.
