This national gathering brought together small business owners and graduates from across the country to learn, connect, and engage in conversations that are shaping the future of entrepreneurship in America.

Hi, I'm Winsome Brown, the co-founder of Lean on Dee Senior Home Care. This is my story.

After years of managing high-stakes finance and accounting operations in the corporate world, my life and my calling shifted when I became the primary caregiver for my mother.

What began as a personal responsibility became a profound awakening. Navigating the complexities of elder care revealed how overwhelming, isolating, and confusing the process can be for families, especially when compassion and clarity are missing from the system. That experience fueled my passion and gave birth to Lean on Dee Senior Home Care Services, a company I co-founded to provide the kind of dignity-driven care and support I wished we had.

💜 Walking with Purpose. Caring with Heart.

This past weekend, Lean on Dee Senior Home Care Services proudly joined thousands across the nation for the Alzheimer's Association for Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

For us, this is not just a walk. It is a movement of compassion, awareness, and hope. Alzheimer’s touches so many lives, and as a senior care organization, we stand beside families, caregivers, and loved ones who face this journey every day.

At Lean on Dee, we believe that true care extends beyond our clients’ homes. It lives in our communities, our actions, and our hearts. Together, we can help bring attention to this important cause and support continued research, care, and understanding.

💜 We walk for those we have lost.
💜 We walk for those still fighting.
💜 We walk for the caregivers who give so much, every single day.

Together, we walk for love and for hope.

Families caring for older adults at home say aging in place should not be taken lightly, but may be worth it

More seniors are living safely in their homes instead of going to assisted living facilities. The practice is known as aging in place.

Home improvements, and in some cases remodeling, can be needed to make it happen.

It can all be a lot for family caregivers - emotionally, physically and financially. Many say it's worth it.
