Yes, we allow Trinket Trading!
Please follow the rules below, so we can continue to allow this fun activity.
Core Trinket Trading Rules:
* Be Kind and Respectful: Treat fellow traders with respect and never be pushy.
* Approach Willing Participants: Only trade with people who are open to it, often indicated by a wearable symbol, such as an orange ribbon or pin.
* Don't Demand Specific Items: Never ask to see or choose a specific item from a trader's collection, as it is a "blind" trade or a gift.
* Do Not Trade Inside Vendor Shops: Do not stop at merchant booths to trade; only engage with vendors who have explicitly indicated they are participating, usually with a sign.
* No Commercialism/Controversy: Items should not promote political, religious, or controversial topics. Do not use trading to market your own business.
* Inclusivity: Do not decline a trade from a child and always ensure a child's parent is present when exchanging.
* Keep it Inexpensive: Trinkets should be small items, such as rocks, stickers, handmade tokens, charms, or keychains.
* Trinkets are not Tips: Our performers rely on your tips to help pay their expenses. Please do not give trinkets instead of tips.
* No Mandatory Returns: Trinket trading is closer to a gift exchange; do not expect a specific item in return.
* Be Patient: Do not interrupt someone if they are already engaged in a conversation or busy.
* Do Not Trade "Up": Do not trade with vendors to obtain their merchandise for free.
* Keep it Tidy: Trinkets should not create a mess.
We would also like to offer a challenge to our trinket trading community. Try to come up with trinkets that are UNIQUE! Why not trade shiny rocks? Or stickers? Or dice? Or anything that isnβt a tiny duck?
