❤️ AMERICAN HEART MONTH ❤️

February is American Heart Month, a time to focus on heart health and the simple steps that can save lives. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, but education, prevention and quick action make a powerful difference.

At Mountain Hope, we care for the whole person through compassionate medical services and community education. Knowing CPR, recognizing the signs of a heart attack and taking charge of your heart health can help protect you and the people you love. 🫀

This month, we encourage our community to learn CPR, make heart healthy choices and be ready to act when it matters most. You could be the first responder until help arrives.

COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR IMPACT 💙🩺

Last Thursday and Friday, Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic was honored to host our Community Health Fair serving uninsured neighbors who live or work in Sevier County. Over two impactful days, individuals and families received access to medical services and connections to essential community resources.

Many services were offered at no cost, with community partners on site providing support for food assistance (Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee), utility resources (Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority, Inc.), vaccines (Sevier County Health Department) and eye exams (Sevier County Lions Club). We are deeply grateful for our partnership with ETSU Quillen College of Medicine, whose continued support helps make these health fairs possible for our community.

A huge thank you to our lunch sponsors who kept our care teams and volunteers fueled and encouraged throughout the event, Hard Rock Cafe Pigeon Forge and Domino's Pizza. Your generosity truly made a difference.

We are thankful and blessed for two meaningful days of healing, serving and caring for our neighbors. 🙏✨

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

WE WEAR BLUE 💙

Today, our team wore blue in support of Human Trafficking Prevention Month and the national Blue Campaign, a reminder that awareness is a powerful step toward prevention.

At Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, we believe caring for our community also means standing up for the dignity, safety and well-being of every person. Human trafficking affects communities everywhere, including rural areas, and awareness helps open the door to prevention, protection and hope.

By wearing blue today, we join organizations across the country in shining a light on this critical issue and reaffirming our commitment to compassion, education and community care.

Tuesday was a meaningful moment for Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic.

Being named 2025 Community Organization of the Year at the Pigeon Forge Chamber Iron Awards was an honor we share with our community and with fellow finalists and partners United Way of Sevier County and Sevier United.

Standing alongside so many dedicated organizations and leaders is a reminder that real change happens when a community comes together to care for its neighbors.
