Smoothies are popular among people who are wanting to improve their health. They are convenient and can be a good way to consume more fiber, fruits and vegetables, and protein.

However, for those trying to lose weight, smoothies make it easy to over-consume calories, they do little to suppress appetite (not great for those trying to lose weight), and often contain a lot of of sugars, which can spike insulin levels.

To make your smoothie, healthier, make sure it has a good balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and even fats, like a healthy meal would have.

Massage enhances local circulation, creates temporary inflammation (increased blood flow), and increases parasympathetic nervous system activity (relaxes the body), while detoxification is handled by the kidneys and liver.

Let your therapist know your boundaries, any pressure you require, any areas of concern, and how much talk you wish to do, if any. Good therapists will spend time discussing each of these with their clients before and after each session.
