Where Yoga, Meditation & Reikiš§š»āāļø meet... Card Makingš
Yesterday was honestly an extremely challenging day.
Just one of those very human days where it felt like everything was going wrong, things became more complicated than they needed to be, and old patterns tried to creep back in. Despite consciously pulling myself out of it- quite a few times.
After work, I thought, āOkay, I turned this day around. Great job! Let me go do something I love.ā So I decided to unwind with one of my favorite things - Card Making.
Well... after spending a lot of time cutting a lot of material for 6 detailed cards. I had cut it all wrong!!!!! š«Øš¤Æ
Yep, yep, after a very long day, even my happy place was feeling upside down. So, at that point, it couldāve gone very differently.
You might imagine frustration, throwing everything off the table, venting, but thatās NOT WHAT HAPPENED!
Instead, I paused (again!), took a breath and chose my interpretation and response to this long, long, long day.
I leaned into the same tools I use every day - Mindfulness, Meditation Techniques, Awareness, Reiki, & Grounding.
And I shifted it, almost immediately.
I didnāt go back to the cards. But I did end up:
- laughing (deep, canāt-catch-your-breath laughing) with my husband.
-having a great night and a great slept as well.
-waking up feeling better than I would have had I not chose to find my power
Why do I say all this? Because that is the point of all I teach here at Comfort & Balance.
Life is going to be life. We donāt control a lot of that happens. But we do have a say in what happens within us.
And for me, the practices that make the biggest difference are simple:
Yoga
Meditation
Mindfulness
Reiki
