Since 1930, Pitman Family Eyecare - Richard A Floyd OD in Sewell, New Jersey, have been providing complete eye care services in a family-oriented atmosphere. Dr.’s Martin and Steven Simmerman having practiced for nearly 50 years have handed the practice over to Dr. Richard Floyd who has been serving Gloucester County residents since 1988.

Please be aware of the following changes to our office hours!

Our office will be closed on the following days in August 2024:

Monday the 19th, Wednesday the 21st, and Thursday the 22nd.

​Dr. Floyd will be available for medical visit appointments and eye emergencies on Tuesday, August 20th.

Want to recycle your contact lenses?

Contact lenses cannot be recycled through your standard recycling bin and must be recycled through a special program. Our office has a drop box for such purposes.

Please place your contact lenses, foils, and blister packs into our TERRACYCLE box so we can recycle them properly!

Some things to know before you stop by:
- The TERRACYCLE box is located in our check in.
- We cannot recycle the following with this box: unopened blister packs, old lens cases, old solution bottles, or bags.
- Please separate the foils from their blister packs!

Happy Eclipse Day!

Please remember to utilize your solar viewing glasses when looking at the eclipse. These glasses are not regular sunglasses as they are much darker in tint and have to meet the ISO 12312-2 international standard.

Our free recycling program with accepts the blister packs, foils, and the contact lenses themselves. 😎

You can stop by our office anytime during business hours and our recycling box is in check-in!
