Governors Bill 6667 which is progressing through the CT legislative process is one of the most restrictive bills brought out of committee since SB1170. This piece of legislation does absolutely nothing to prevent criminals from committing crimes, and will only hurt and restrict the law abiding citizens of this state. Not one mention of mental health reform or stiffer penalties for criminals- just more feel good crap that puts the law abiding at a disadvantage against those who wish to do harm. I am urging you to contact your representatives and senators to vote NO on this bill… and if they vote yes, then I strongly urge you to do everything within your power & means to vote them out of office by campaigning for their opponent, donating to their opponent, and building teams of people to campaign against them. We cannot keep allowing the same people who vote against our right to bear arms to remain in a position of power in this state- regardless of political party!

2 cents tax on 22 caliber or less
5 cents per round for all other.

This bill MUST NOT PASS!!

Contact your representatives and urge them to vote AGAINST HB 5653

This is extremely unconstitutional.

Let's pUt it this way. If this tax is to fund gun violence intervention and prevention programs then why not tax alcohol which affects many more people?
