Maxine spent 40 years of her life caring for others as a QMA and several years in memory care. She began her career at Jackson Park Convalescent Center, now known as Seymour Crossing, where Maxine is now a beloved resident!​

​Maxine said when she needed care herself, there was only one place she would choose, saying she “wanted to go back home.” Some of the people Maxine worked with are still at the community, and she considers them family. Maxine herself is a remarkable story of resilience, regaining her strength and mobility through the therapy program and proving the heart she gave to others is matched by her own determination.​

​For nearly five decades, Maxine has been a legend in the halls of Seymour Crossing. She spent her life loving and caring for countless people, and now, that love and care surrounds her.
