Congratulations Rhonda Atha, LPN/Preceptor, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.
Rhonda Atha’s remarkable career began in 1993 when she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, marking the start of more than three decades of compassionate service. She holds a special place in the history of our community, formerly known as Heritage House, as our very first unit coordinator. Her leadership and dedication continued as she spent four years managing the Alzheimer’s Unit, where her patience, empathy, and clinical expertise made a lasting impact on residents and families alike.
Outside of work, Rhonda brings the same creativity and warmth to her personal life. She enjoys painting with acrylics and proudly shares her finished artwork with friends and family. She also loves the thrill of visiting casinos, relaxing on vacations, and getting lost in the suspenseful pages of a Mary Higgins Clark novel. Above all, Rhonda treasures time with her family: three children, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. She and her husband recently celebrated an incredible 50 years of marriage, a true reflection of her loyalty and love.
Rhonda’s coworkers describe her as “amazing,” always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. Residents adore her for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the genuine care she gives every day. Though Rhonda has worked in other nursing roles over the years, she shares that Seymour Crossing has always felt like home. To her, the residents and staff are more than colleagues and patients…they are family. Her dedication, compassion, and heart for caregiving continue to inspire everyone around her.
