This month marked two years after the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas-led terrorist attacks. Cathy & David Campbell were with other friends of ours on a Christian tour to Israel when they found themselves in the midst of the bombing. I wanted to go back and let you hear the story about their plight, fighting fear, and the power of prayer - and the Miracles that happened! What was supposed to be a study trip to Israel turned into something more as Hamas began the horrible invasion. That Saturday morning two friends in their group were on the balcony when the first missiles hit, less than two miles from their hotel. As tensions escalated in Israel, they and their family members and friends in the US, began to feel increasingly anxious. As the situation deteriorated, they started to feel anxious. Fear mounted as they were forced to take detours, all flights were canceled, and they faced distressing circumstances. Cathy shares scriptures that calmed and comforted her. No doubt, “He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Cathy Campbell is a Bible teacher, she’s served as a volunteer with many organizations in East TN. She is married to Dr. David Campbell, a lifelong friend and sister in Christ!

Have a blessed and peaceful Sunday

Mark 1:35 tells us that Jesus rose very early in the morning, while it was still dark, and went to a quiet place to pray.

He did not wait for the perfect moment or the ideal setting. He made space for what mattered most.

That one verse reminds us what it looks like to live from a place of dependence rather than self-sufficiency.

If Jesus made time to be alone with the Father, how much more do we need that same connection?

Start where you are. Quiet your heart. He is ready to meet with you.
