We often picture anxiety as the person shaking in the corner. But more often, anxiety looks like the person who is yelling. 😡
When the nervous system detects a threat, it doesn't always choose "flight" (worry/avoidance). Sometimes it chooses "fight." This is especially true in children and men, where anxiety is frequently misdiagnosed as behavioral issues or just a "bad temper."
Common hidden signs include:
1️⃣ Irritability and Anger: Snapping at loved ones over small things because your tolerance window is full.
2️⃣ Physical Pain: Unexplained headaches, stomach aches, or muscle tension without a medical cause.
3️⃣ Restlessness: An inability to sit still or a constant need to be moving/fidgeting.
If this sounds familiar, we might be treating the wrong thing. Let’s get to the root.
