If you want to feel basically every human emotion in 20 minutes… 3 30/15 second tabatas with 2 of the 3 being Burpees and Mountain Climbers, pick anything for the 3rd jump rope, run in place, wall squats, ect. In that 20 minutes you will feel early motivation, self doubt, pain, thoughts you may actually die, than hope, and pure joy “once finished”, followed by a feeling of unbelievable accomplishment.
It is one of the most humbling HIT exercises I do. Everytime I feel my cardio is great, thats an eye opener!!
If you have been moving your body more and are ready to implement some HIT exercises, tabatas are a great place to go. Download a free tabata timer app on phone and start slow. Jump rope, run in place, jumping jacks, wall squats. As your endurance improves you can add more advanced motions like burpees, mountain climbers, push ups, squats. Its an unbelievable workout.
Greatly beneficial for overall heart health, but HIT exercises have also been shown to help prevent neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
