Our staff and volunteers brought so much heart to the holiday meal. Their teamwork, kindness, and steady support made the day feel special for our residents.

Climbing, bending, and kneeling may be unsafe.

However, our residents would still love the campus to shine brightly, and we’d be thrilled if you’d be part of the process.

🦃 Thanksgiving volunteers PSA 🤎

If you’re spending the holiday nearby and want to bring a little joy to someone’s day, we’d love to have you help serve meals to our residents.

Volunteers can choose from two seatings: 10:00 AM–12:30 PM or 12:00 PM–2:30 PM—those under 18 are welcome with adult supervision.

Bob Hope Village Garden Series 🌿

Our residents learned from Margaret Stewart and Lee Vanderpool, Master Gardeners with the UF/IFAS Extension, about creative ways to grow plants in containers, small pots, porches, and raised beds.

Perfect inspiration for anyone with a green thumb—or hoping to grow one! 🌱

Throwing it back to our Veterans Day gathering at Bob Hope Village 🇺🇸✨

Residents spent the afternoon in the Gates Building sharing stories and memories with active-duty Airmen, creating a meaningful moment of connection across generations of service.

Resident Jamie, one of our BHV ladies, sang the National Anthem, Chaplain Tom Azar offered a thoughtful prayer, and the Eglin Color Guard presented the colors. Thank you to A Slice of Ro and More in Navarre, for generously donating cupcakes—it made the day even sweeter.❤

Our Bob Hope Village residents enjoyed a tole painting session with Maika 🎨✨

They painted beautiful doves on small wooden plaques — peaceful, pretty, and full of charm.

We’re so thankful to Maika and others who share their skills and passions with our residents, teaching new techniques and inspiring creativity on campus.🥰

Our residents volunteered with United Way Emerald Coast today through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), alongside Haley, United Way’s Development Manager.

They helped fold and stuff brochures and envelopes for this year’s fundraising efforts, supporting outreach to corporate partners and individuals across Okaloosa and Walton counties.

United Way is a fantastic partner, and we’re grateful to work alongside them in ways that support our community.
