Why Get A CDL Physical?
To ensure public safety on the road, the US Department of Transportation (DOT) enforces a strict set of standards for drivers operating limousines, trucks, and commercial vehicles. Drivers must pass a DOT physical examination that is performed by a certified medical examiner. Unlike regular physicals, a DOT physical is focused on confirming that there are no physical and medical conditions preventing a driver from safely operating a vehicle.
Your CDL Physical exam will typically involve these three elements:
