APDA applauds the 9 members of Congress who signed a letter to HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya urging them to seat the National Parkinson’s Plan (NPP) Advisory Council.

If your member of Congress did not sign the bipartisan letter, you can support these leaders by reaching out to your member to urge them to press HHS to immediately seat the Advisory Council.

🧠 Research participants needed for a study at the University of New Hampshire to help learn more about how adults learn language to further improve future treatments for adult with acquired brain injury and neurogenic disorders. We are grateful to announce the creation of TWO new support groups for individuals with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s.

The new 𝗛𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗦 group will begin on Thursday, January 22 at the Barnstable Adult Community Center . Facilitated by Charlene Chadwick, RN, the group will meet on the 4th Thursday of the month.

The new 𝗬𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 group will begin on Wednesday, February 11 at the Yarmouth Senior Center . Facilitated by Charlene Chadwick, RN, the group will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

The APDA Parkinson’s Support Group in Auburn, Massachusetts recently held their inaugural holiday gathering! 🎄 The group spent a wonderful evening making wreaths, sharing laughs, and enjoying meaningful connection.

Thank you to Tim and Leah for organizing this special event and to the First Congregational Church Auburn for providing such a welcoming and supportive space for the PD community!
