Sharon Regional Health System was proud to host nearly 20 local police officers and first responders for a full‑day Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training. 💙

This program was held in collaboration with the Mercer County Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB), its Crisis Intervention Team, Sharon Regional’s Behavioral Health Services, and representatives from the Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission.

This specialized training helps equip public safety officers with essential tools and insights for effectively responding to individuals experiencing mental health crises. We are grateful for these continued partnerships and the shared commitment to behavioral health support across Mercer County.

Sharon Regional Health System was proud to host a signing event yesterday with representatives from the proposed Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The event brought together hospital and IUP leaders, along with business and community stakeholders, elected officials, and members of the medical community to announce a clinical training agreement that will support future medical students at IUP’s proposed college.
According to Valeri Roth, DO, President of Sharon Regional’s Medical Staff:
