We have finally moved into our new facility in Sharpsburg! Thank you everyone for your patience as I realize several courses have been pushed out and rescheduled due to getting settled in. Our training "room" is still a work in progress. With that said, all training will be done at or by request with weekend and week night availability. During our hiatus, I did a lot of researching, and hid in the shadows and just watched things. What I found were several things; everyone and their brother are becoming or have become instructors with no legitimate background or knowledge other than "I own a firearm..." (Some of which I am not completely sure how that is even possible, but I guess that's how things work now, no questions asked and forget about the past...). My point to all of this is, I refuse to be grouped into that train wreck. When it goes sideways, and trust me it will, people will unnecessarily get hurt because an instructor either gave false information or flat out didn't provide the knowledge or training because they themselves lacked both. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you get what you pay for! But hey, my 24 years of REAL experience and those out there with many more than that who actually provide good substantial, retainable instruction are over priced and just trying to make money.
So, anyone who is interested in any NRA course, Maryland required course, or precision long range course reach out via email or FB messenger and we will get you set up.
To all the good instructors who have been doing this for years with a lifetime of experience and knowledge behind their presentations, keep your head up and keep moving forward it will eventually come around full circle.
To all the half-assed instructors, think about what you will do when you get that subpoena because one of your students had to use their firearm and now you're being called to testify in the case..... How well do you know the laws in Maryland? Did you give them the proper instruction on how or when to brandish or discharge their weapon? Hell, do you even know yourself? Did you require them to complete an approved MSP course of fire? If so can you prove it!
I hope this post has not only gotten the wheels turning for possible students but also instructors, it's actually sad to see where this has gone over the last 2 years.
