Your spine is central to nearly every movement you make. Whether you’re working at a desk, driving, exercising, or lifting your kids, small daily habits can either support spinal health — or gradually contribute to pain and dysfunction.

Here are practical, evidence-informed tips you can start applying today:

1️⃣ Prioritize Neutral Posture

Prolonged forward head posture and rounded shoulders increase mechanical stress on the cervical and thoracic spine.

What to do:
• Keep ears aligned over shoulders.
• Sit with feet flat and knees at 90°.
• Position screens at eye level.
• Avoid prolonged slouching.

Even subtle corrections can significantly reduce cumulative strain.

2️⃣ Break Up Static Positions

The body is designed for movement. Sustained sitting increases intradiscal pressure and muscular fatigue.

Recommendation:
• Stand or walk every 30–60 minutes.
