no one complains more about a *complimentary* adjustment than the husband of a chiropractor 🤣

getting his nervous system ready for wrestling conference 💪🏼
when your body is gearing up for high stress + high performance, your nervous system has to be regulated! cervical adjustments especially help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system leading to a clear + calm mind. 🧠

low progesterone is not a root cause.

it’s a response.
so many women trying to conceive are told, “you just have low progesterone.”

but progesterone only rises after strong ovulation.
and ovulation is not random.

it is an expression of
• stable blood sugar
• regulated cortisol
• adequate thyroid signaling
• nourished minerals
• healthy gut and detox pathways
• a nervous system that feels safe

hormones are responders.
they respond to the environment inside your body.

so if progesterone is low, the question isn’t
“how do we push progesterone up?”
it’s 👉“why is ovulation not strong enough to produce it?”

is blood sugar spiking and crashing?
is cortisol stealing the show?
is inflammation blocking signaling?
is detox sluggish and recycling estrogen?
is the body conserving instead of reproducing?

this is exactly why in GUIDED we don’t guess.
we run a comprehensive blood lab and testing panel that looks at the systems upstream of progesterone, thyroid markers, cortisol rhythm, insulin patterns, nutrient status, gut function, detox capacity, and more.
because rebuilding the terrain is true restoration.

if you’ve been told you “just have low progesterone” and you know there has to be more to the story, there is.
that’s what my ABIDEwell GUIDED program is here for!

let’s identify why your body isn’t ovulating the way it was designed to and rebuild from the foundations first 🫶 comment “GUIDED” or send me a DM to learn more

one of the biggest obstacles i see women let get in the way of doing truly life-changing work with a functional medicine practitioner is this sentence:

“insurance doesn’t cover it.”

and i understand why that feels like a hard stop.
but what rarely gets counted is the cost of going another year (or two) with the same symptoms and no real answers.

another year of monthly migraines.
another year of debilitating pms.
another year of daily fatigue.
another year of being told “everything is normal”

insurance coverage is not the same thing as resolution.
coverage pays for management, and to wait until it “gets worse.”

but resolution requires someone to stop waiting.

at some point, staying stuck becomes more expensive than choosing care that actually looks deeper.

if you’re ready to stop waiting, DM “GUIDED” and let’s see if the it’s the right next step for you 🫶

one of the most common hormone patterns i see in women is estrogen dominance. this happens when estrogen is high relative to progesterone, or when the liver and gut aren’t clearing estrogen efficiently.

there are a few reasons this shows up so often
-progesterone drops under stress
-the liver can’t detoxify estrogen well when blood sugar and cortisol are dysregulated
-gut imbalances cause estrogen to be reabsorbed
-daily exposures to xenoestrogens in plastics, skincare, fragrance, and home products add an extra estrogen-mimicking load

when this builds over time, symptoms like heavy or painful periods, cramping, pms, breast tenderness, mood swings, and cycle irregularities, often follow.

what usually happens next is a prescription for birth control. but adding synthetic estrogen to a body that’s already struggling to clear estrogen doesn’t solve the root issue.

it may suppress symptoms temporarily, but the underlying pattern remains, which is why many women feel worse when they stop the pill.

this is why every woman in ABIDEwell GUIDED gets a DUTCH comprehensive functional hormone + cortisol test and full hormone assessment. we look at how estrogen is being produced, metabolized, and cleared so we can address the actual physiology behind the symptoms.

if these symptoms sound familiar and you want to understand what’s happening in your own body, you can book a clarity call through the link in my bio or send me a DM to chat about whether GUIDED is right for you!

i will not call being a coach’s wife hard.
inconvenient? yes.

annoying that we basically don’t have free weekends from october to march? absolutely.

but i’m not going to call it hard.

i knew when i first met this man 11 years ago that he was obsessed with wrestling. obsessed with developing young men. obsessed with building and running a program with excellence. that wasn’t a surprise.

that was his goal. he pursued it every single day and now he gets to live it every single day.

we’re in the thick of wrestling season right now, the nitty gritty. managing guys, weight cuts, injuries, lineups, pressure.

and honestly it’s so much fun to watch your person thrive where they’re called.

watching someone do work they’re obsessed with isn’t something to tolerate. it’s a privilege.

living with a miserable person is hard.
living with someone unfulfilled is hard.
living with someone who’s disconnected from their purpose is hard.

being with someone who lives on purpose sharpens me. it makes me better; as a person, a doctor, and a business owner. it brings clarity to my own calling and reminds me that purpose is worth protecting. he’s inspired so much of my own ability to take ownership over the way I’m spending my days, and making sure I’m dedicating them to doing what I feel called to do.

marriage has seasons where we trade off support and shoulder more responsibility for each other. right now, we’re in one of those seasons. but I truly can’t imagine how hard it would be to do this with someone who isn’t living in their passion.

you won’t catch me telling clients they need to cut out coffee to reach their wellness goals.

but you will catch me having conversations about when, why, and how caffeine fits into their day in a way that actually supports their physiology.

this is where so many women get stuck, feeling like health means constant restriction because the internet is full of black and white rules that don’t leave room for context, seasons, or stewardship.

coffee isn’t the issue.
blindly following do’s and don’ts without understanding why is.

my goal isn’t to tell women what they can or can’t have. it’s to help them understand their bodies well enough to make empowered decisions about what they’re adding in, when they’re using it, and how it affects them.

that’s the difference between restriction and stewardship.
and that’s where real, sustainable healing happens.

most women are told their heavy periods, painful cramps, or PMS are a hormone problem.

so they are given the pill.

but estrogen dominance is the main driver behind these symptoms, and adding synthetic estrogen is not solving the problem.

it is usually poor clearance, suppressed progesterone from stress, inflammation, or depleted foundations.

the pill shuts down ovulation, which is imperative to progesterone production to balance estrogen.

it can also deplete key nutrients like B vitamins, magnesium, and zinc that your hormones and detox pathways rely on.
so symptoms may pause, but the root issue is never addressed.

that is why so many women come off the pill feeling worse than when they went on it.

masking with a bandaid is never going to lead to true resolution.

this applies whether you are:
• thinking about coming off the pill
• struggling with estrogen dominance symptoms
• or already off and confused by what your body is doing
the next step is not guessing, it is understanding.

inside GUIDED, all of this testing is included on purpose.
DUTCH testing.
comprehensive blood work.
comprehensive stool testing.
markers that show how your hormones, stress physiology, detox, and foundations are actually functioning together.

because one lab value cannot guide decisions.
and masking symptoms is not the same as healing.

GUIDED exists so women can understand their bodies at the root, follow a clear roadmap, and stop cycling through suppression and confusion.

for a lot of women, the daily “anxiety” spiral is actually a blood sugar roller coaster.

those dips and spikes can feel like panic, jitters, and racing thoughts, even when anxiety isn’t the root issue.

if you’re done guessing and want to identify what your body is actually responding to, comment GUIDED and let’s get you a clear, physiology-based roadmap.

most women come to me asking
“how do i fix my hormones?”

but hormones do not operate in isolation.
they respond to signals coming from blood sugar, stress physiology, digestion, detox capacity, and the nervous system.

that is why chasing one hormone or one lab value almost never works.

inside ABIDEwell GUIDED, we include a comprehensive testing bundle on purpose.
not to overwhelm you.
not to micromanage your body.
but to see the full picture.
because:
• one marker cannot explain symptoms
• one hormone cannot guide decisions
• one system never tells the whole story

labs give answers, but context turns those answers into understanding.

from there, we lay out a clear, phased roadmap:
foundations first.
patterns next.
then targeted support, in the right order, at the right time.
no guessing.
no jumping ahead.
no treating hormones without understanding what is driving them.

if you have done all the “right things” and still feel stuck, it is rarely because you are missing effort.
it is usually because no one has ever laid out the full roadmap for you, from foundations to optimization.

save this post and use these markers as a starting point if you’re experiencing hormonal dysfunction 🛟

i think it’s wild that so many women go to the doctor, say something feels off, and are told to come back in six months.

wait until it’s worse.
wait until labs are undeniable.
wait until it’s “official.”

and then when something finally shows up, the response is
oh yeah, this has probably been building for a while.

the part that gets me is realizing how often the thing you were worried about all along could have been prevented if someone had just taken the time to look deeper earlier.

to actually listen.
to connect dots.
to explain what your body was responding to.

being told to wait until you’re sicker does not feel like healthcare.
it kind of feels like a scam.

women don’t need to wait for breakdown to deserve answers.
they need understanding before things spiral.

this is why i care so much about education, testing, and actually walking women through their physiology instead of dismissing it.

if you’ve ever been told to wait it out when you knew something wasn’t right, you’re not crazy.

and you’re not alone.

✨ Tired of only working with the providers your insurance company tells you that you can?
That was one of the most frustrating parts of traditional insurance for me — the limits, the red tape, and the hoops to jump through just to get the care you actually need.
With Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) — the original health cost sharing ministry — you have the freedom to choose your own provider and submit eligible medical bills for sharing within a biblical community of believers.
It’s not insurance — it’s a faith-based healthcare solution where members live in covenant, not contract. 💛

👇 Curious how it works or want to see if it could fit your family?
