To honor the life and legacy of our dear friend and longtime board member, Carl Packwood, we are hosting this year’s Night to Dream in his memory and renaming it the Carl Packwood Night to Dream.

Carl was a believer in people, in possibilities, and in the kind of joy that comes from creating moments that matter. What a dreamer he was — someone who believed in our PEEPS, celebrated their gifts, and loved seeing our community come together.

He especially loved prom night. One of his greatest joys was watching his daughter, Taylor, perform each year — always eager to see what character she would come up with next. He beamed with pride, laughter, and that unmistakable Carl grin.

This event has always been about joy, dignity, and unforgettable memories — values Carl championed for more than 20 years.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of our dear friend and longtime board member, Carl Packwood (January 7, 1965 – March 2, 2026).

For more than 20 years, Carl faithfully served South Central Industries with unwavering belief in our mission and the people we serve. He loved our PEEPS, championed the impact we make, and cared deeply about the future of our community.

If you knew Carl, you knew he always had a story to tell (with the right date), a joke to share, and a way of picking at you just enough to make you laugh. He could be a little ornery, but it was always paired with a big heart and genuine care for the people around him. He was the kind of person you met once and never forgot.
Carl believed in Shawnee and in its potential to be its very best. Because of his leadership, encouragement, and steady support, our organization — and our community — are stronger.

Today, our hearts beat a little slower as we remember him and the joy, humor, and dedication he brought into our lives.

Our love and deepest sympathies go out to Cindy, Taylor, and the entire Packwood family. We mourn this loss with you and are grateful for the life, laughter, and legacy Carl leaves behind.

Thank you for everything, Carl. You will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Our PEEPS celebrated Valentine’s Day the best way we know how — with pizza, dancing, photo booth fun, and plenty of sweet treats! But the real highlight? The laughter, the hugs, and the pure joy of being together.

Days like this are a reminder that love isn’t just something you say — it’s something you share, celebrate, and feel in the little moments.

Every purchase you make with us helps employ and enhance the lives of our PEEPS, and seeing our community show up for that mission means everything. One absolute highlight? Our PEEPS handing out roses to the ladies—pure joy, big smiles, and all the heart. 🌹

Last January, we lost one of our own — Jacob Anderson. 🤍

This morning, we had the honor of dedicating our warehouse in his name — a place where Jacob brought his light, wisdom beyond his years, and quiet charisma every single day.

Being able to gather, remember, and celebrate the love he shared with all of us meant more than words can express. We are grateful that this space — filled with purpose, laughter, and hard work — will forever carry his name and his legacy.

Always remembered. Always missed. Forever part of us.
