Highpoint Family Vision is a family friendly optometric office and optical shop. Our Doctor:

Dr. Kinsey Honeyman graduated from Southern College of Optometry.

Our Mission:

To create an unforgettable experience for each patient by providing unparalleled customer service, exceptional patient education, superior product quality, and the best eye care possible in a comfortable, professional and ‘family friendly’ environment. We will keep overall wellness and understanding as first priorities in everything we do with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of life for each and every patient. Her interests include pediatric and family eye care, contact lenses, and treatment of ocular disease. She is licensed to treat many eye diseases and problems including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, eye infections, red eyes, and eye allergies. Meet VIZZ: a once-daily prescription eye drop (aceclidine ophthalmic solution) for age-related up-close blur (presbyopia). It works in about 30 minutes and can help sharpen near vision for up to ~10 hours by gently constricting the pupil to increase depth of focus.

We’re so excited to welcome Kyla to our team!

Kyla is originally from Kansas City, Missouri and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, with hopes of attending optometry school in the future. She’s passionate about eye care and loves that it allows her to build meaningful, lasting relationships with patients; something we value deeply at Highpoint Family Vision!

Kyla is dedicated to making sure every patient feels welcomed, comfortable, and supported during their visit. When she’s not at work or studying, she volunteers at the Kansas City Free Eye Clinic, giving back to the community she loves. In her free time, you’ll find her playing pickleball, crocheting, baking, or spending time with friends and family.

Our Story

Our Doctors:

Drs. Kinsey & Dustin Honeyman met in Memphis, Tennessee while attending the Southern College of Optometry together. Dr. Kinsey is originally from Rockford, Illinois (just south of Wisconsin) and attended the University of Illinois. Dr. Dustin grew up in Lawrence, KS and attended the University of Kansas. After graduation, they decided to call the Kansas City suburbs home. Their hobbies include spending time with their kids, traveling, scuba diving, hiking and taking optometry students on volunteer mission trips around the world.

“We decided to start Highpoint Family Vision for many reasons. We want to make an impact in a local and growing area where there is strong need for vision care. Our passion is working with patients of all ages and developing lasting relationships. We aim to provide exceptional quality of care as opposed to a quantity of care. ‘Family’ is in our practice name because that is what we strive for - we want every patient to feel like family when they are in our office.”
