We enjoyed the ribbon cutting for the new Colonial Cupboard Store for our sweet residents to shop.
Immanual Baptist Church took the idea from the residents & rose to the occasion. 💕
We are thankful for our partnership with them & ALL they do for our residents & staff!
They are our family & we love them! 💗

This week has been full of patriotism, memories, & appreciation for our Veterans!
We started Monday acknowledging & supporting the Marine Corps Birthday.
On Tuesday, we had the honor of having the American Legion visiting with our Veterans.
& Wednesday, Choice Hospice provided a heartfelt pinning ceremony.
With almost 30% of Shawnee Colonial Estate’s population being Veterans, we feel honored to be able to serve those that served our country & are so appreciative of the support from the Shawnee community in recognizing them.
We love our Veteran’s!

In honor of September being Fall Prevention month, our therapy team created a Fall Crime Scene in which residents & staff had 30 seconds to identify as many fall risks as possible. Top contenders were rewarded for their fall safety awareness & everyone got to share in caramel apples, hot cider, & hot chocolate! 🍁
