Last week, we had a fantastic visit from Sheboygan North High School students! They joined us for some veterans crafts, helping make ornaments for our annual Veterans Tree, each ornament representing a resident who has served.

But that wasn’t all! We played some fun Thanksgiving-themed games, with students dressing up as turkeys while our residents showed off their skills with a little target practice. 🦃 We had such a great time and can't wait to do it again!

This Veterans Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served our country. Over the past week, we’ve held luncheons across all of our campuses to honor the brave men and women who call Pine Haven home.

Recently, we were able to hand out a few camo quilts from the Camo Quilt Project. This organization works hard to ensure that every resident who is a veteran will receive one of these special quilts as a token of appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

We’re so thankful for all the organizations and volunteers who help us celebrate and support our veterans year-round, from our regular Veterans Café gatherings to programs like the Camo Quilt Project and beyond.

Thank you to all who served. Your courage and dedication inspire us every day.

Last week wrapped up our REINS, Inc. Equine Assisted Services season, and it was such a special day!

Our partipants received their certificates of completion, signed cards for the horses retiring after this season, and enjoyed a riding demonstration from Annabelle on Dahlia. Of course, we couldn’t end the season without giving our favorite horses a few well-deserved treats!

Wishing a relaxing retirement to Five, Amigo, Dahlia, and Tigger, thank you for all the joy you’ve brought! We can’t wait to be back next season!

Thanks to a generous grant we received last year from the Kohler Foundation, Inc., we’ve been able to bring the Music & Memory program to life here at Pine Haven!

Through this program, we meet one-on-one to learn about the music people loved most in their earlier years, the songs that bring back joyful memories and a sense of comfort. Listening to these familiar tunes can spark meaningful moments, lift moods, and promote overall well-being.

As a Memory Care Center of Excellence, we’re always finding new ways to make life more joyful and engaging for those we serve.

🍂🍎 Fall fun at our Oostburg campus! Nathan, our talented landscaper, gave a hands-on cider press demonstration for our residents. It was a great way to enjoy the flavors of the season! 🍁🍏
