Spa Day was a big hit with our residents! 💆‍♀️✨ The room was filled with relaxation and laughter as everyone enjoyed a little pampering — from nail polishing and soothing face masks to the classic cucumbers-on-the-eyes spa moment.

We are also so grateful to Ruth and Sandy for volunteering their time to give hand massages and apply make-up. Your kindness, care, and gentle touch made the day extra special.

A heartfelt thank you to Thrivent for sponsoring this special day and helping us create such a fun and relaxing experience.

Our residents truly loved being treated to a little luxury! 💅🥒

✨ A Wonderful Evening at Sheboygan Senior Community! ✨
Last night, members of the Sheboygan Falls High School Key Club—along with their advisor—spent time visiting with our residents here at Sheboygan Senior Community.
The girls offered manicures, warm smiles, and plenty of lively conversation to everyone they met. 💅💬 Their kindness truly brightened the evening and made a meaningful impact on our residents.
We are so grateful for these thoughtful young leaders and the joy they bring to our community! 💛

🌿 Recycling Meets Creativity at Sheboygan Senior Community! 🌼
Today our residents and volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a fun and meaningful recycling project — turning old menus into beautiful handmade paper!
First, the menus were shredded by hand, then blended with water to create paper pulp. From there, the pulp was placed into tubs where residents added their own special touches: flower seeds, dried petals, glitter, and more. Using screens, they collected the mixture and pressed it into sheets of new paper.
The handmade paper is now drying and will be one of the featured works of art at our next gallery opening on May 1st. 🌸✨
📅 Please save the date!
We can’t wait to showcase this unique project and celebrate the creativity of our community.

🌟 Community Giving in Action! 🌟
Today at Sheboygan Senior Community, our residents spent the morning volunteering their time and creativity to decorate meal bags for our fellow nonprofit friends at Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County, Inc.
The room was filled with conversation, laughter, colorful designs, and a shared sense of purpose. 🎨💬❤️
We had a wonderful time talking, decorating, and giving back to our community—one bag at a time. Thank you to everyone who joined in to help brighten someone’s day!

Today is the last day for our incredible maintenance technician of over 10 years.

We all know and have come to love Al. Diligent about his work, on time, thoughtful, quick, and an overall great guy to run into in the halls of SSC. Whether it was setting up an event, tearing it down, installing a new toilet, or removing a nightlight, Al was there.

Throughout the years, he has watched us repeatedly break the same things over and over again, if only he knew we did it just so we could see him come around again.

Al, you mean the world to all of us here, we’re sad to see you go, though we know you’ll still be wandering the halls from time to time. We wish you luck.

On behalf of Joan, your partner Hugh, all your coworkers, and the rest of management. Thank you.

Community makes us stronger in every way.

We wouldn’t be the Sheboygan Senior Community without the many groups, organizations, businesses or individuals we collaborate with every day.

Today we were lucky enough to have some wondrous members of the Lakeland University Yarn Club & Phi Delta Omega Sorority visit with residents and deliver blankets they had made!

These simple acts make a world of difference for our residents, we’re glad to have you a part of our community!

💖 Feeling the Love at Sheboygan Senior Community! 💖
This week, our hearts have been overflowing! As we head into Valentine’s Day, we want to extend a huge thank you to the many groups and businesses who shared a little extra love with our residents.
Our community was blessed with beautiful Valentine cards made by students from:
❤️ Sheboygan North High School
❤️ Sheboygan South High School
❤️ Sheboygan Falls High School
❤️ Sheboygan Leadership Academy
❤️ Jackson Elementary School
We also received thoughtful cards from local Scout Troops, and the American Legion Auxiliary made sure our veterans felt honored with special valentines just for them.
The kindness didn’t stop there!
✨ Home2 Suites by Hilton Sheboygan crafted and delivered cheerful sun catchers to brighten our residents’ rooms
✨Neighborhood Beat Officer Alison Meyer from the Sheboygan Police Department stopped by with cards and smiles
✨ The Hospitality Department at Kohler Co. surprised us with gorgeous flower arrangements, bringing beauty and joy to so many
Sheboygan truly knows how to spread the love, and we at Sheboygan Senior Community are grateful for the support shown to our nonprofit senior living community. We share the love with our residents every day—but this week, we felt it right back.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this Valentine’s week extra special! ❤️🌷✨

Upcoming Gallery Exhibition at SSC: Finding Beauty in the Everyday

We’re inviting artists to share work for our upcoming gallery exhibition, Finding Beauty in the Everyday. This exhibition celebrates beauty living in the ordinary. The small, overlooked moments that make up daily life — the chipped mug you reach for every morning, sunlight across the kitchen table, the beauty and comfort these moments provoke.

Artwork that captures the meaning, beauty, and stories found in everyday life—whether through ordinary objects, daily routines, or creatively reused materials—highlighting the poetry, humor, and memories within the familiar. If you have a piece or story that you believe would make an addition to our themed exhibition please do not hesitate to submit your work.
