Happy Earth Day! 🌳🌎

To build a good community, it takes more than just people, it takes an environment that can hold and care for each of us. That’s why we put an incredible effort into building, maintaining, preserving, and enjoying the land that we’re on, caring for all the fabulous flora and fauna found here.

Today alone, our Solar Panels have produced over 580 kWh of power! That’s enough to power just over 19 homes for the day!

Spring is in full effect and with that, field season is here! Planting has begun and our courtyards and gardening beds are budding and will soon bloom, which our residents had a hand in!

One of the best ways to support the environment not only includes planting new life, but reusing and repurposing the old growth. At SSC, we compost our kitchen waste in order to restore nutrient depleted soil on our site, completing the circle of life.

Celebrate and care for our planet today and every day, it's the only one we have and we all benefit!

What a fantastic evening at SSC! 🎶✨
Tonight, Shannon O’Malley-Thomas — the one and only Jukebox Diva — had our residents smiling, singing along, and tapping their toes from start to finish. With a voice as big and strong as her personality, she filled the room with energy, joy, and unforgettable music. 💃🎤
We all had an absolute blast being entertained by the Diva, and nights like this are what make our community so special! 💙

☀️ Even though the sun is still just thinking about showing up today, the students at Lake Country Academy absolutely filled our hearts with sunshine! 💛
They surprised our staff with delicious Rice Krispie treats 🍬 and the sweetest handwritten notes and cards ✍️💌. Such a thoughtful and generous gesture—our caregivers were truly touched, and their day was instantly brighter because of it!
Thank you, Lake Country Academy, for reminding us that kindness (and a little sweetness!) goes a long way. We are so grateful for you! 🌈✨

🌱 🪴Spring is blooming at Sheboygan Senior Community! 🌸🪻
Yesterday afternoon at Sheboygan Senior Community our residents rolled up their sleeves and joined Land Manager Isabel to plant seeds for our raised garden beds! 🌻Together, we tucked in thyme, basil, chives, dahlias, and sunflowers — and planted a little hope for warmer days ahead. Now we’re all crossing our fingers that these April showers truly bring May flowers! 🌧️🌼🌷🪻
Residents, families, and staff alike are so ready for warmer weather and more opportunities to get outside and enjoy our beautiful grounds this spring and summer. ☀️🌼

We had such a fun time working on a collaborative art project with RCS Empowers, Inc participants and SSC residents 🦋

Together, we created these beautiful, colorful butterflies! They’ll all come together as part of a larger piece for our Gallery Exhibit opening on May 1, and we can’t wait to share the finished work with you!
