There's nothing wrong with saying something is good for you... but "good for you" doesn't really mean anything to a child. It doesn't really give them a reason to eat something.

But "red foods help your heart" is different. We're telling kids that we're serving different foods because they all do something different in our bodies.

Check out these tips from Kids Eat in Color on how to introduce red foods to your child.

Classics are classic for a reason and what’s better than a good ol’ grilled cheese sandwich?

It's super easy to make, and you can pick up cheese and whole wheat bread with your WIC benefits.

What do you pair your sandwich with? Tomato soup? Fruit? Tell us in the comments below. 🧀🍞

Postpartum depression (PPD) is a medical condition any new mother can experience after having a baby. PPD can cause strong feelings of sadness, anxiety, exhaustion, and isolation that make it hard for you to take care of yourself and your baby. About one in eight moms report symptoms of PPD in the year after they give birth, so please know you are not alone.

Reach out to a loved one or your medical provider for support. Or call the free and confidential support hotline for pregnant and new moms at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262).💗
