In the last week we have had some beautiful things happen that we'd like to share with you.
Our 4th Friday Supper needed a meal & one of our Sober House residents mentioned his mom has wanted to provide one for some time now. This was the perfect time for this to come together & wow, was it spectacular! Green spaghetti & chicken fajitas.... absolutely delicious! This mom wanted to give back as a thanks for Samaritan's Hand helping her son. ❤
Without our regular meal providers, we didn't have servers either. One of our staff member's sons was home on military leave & without hesitation said he would step up & help. He thoroughly enjoyed serving, visiting with our clients & sharing the meal with them & we appreciated his help! ❤
As one of our residents was completing his monthly assessment with us, he shared the following, "I am thinking more clearly. I don't feel so alone & I'm more at peace. I am understanding what my blessings are & to give thanks for them all." ❤
At the end of every year, we have a former client who comes to give a donation. He doesn't live around here anymore, so he comes just to make the donation in person. He never misses & today was no different. Every year it's the same message, "I want to give back to 'the Hand' because this place helped me & I want to make sure others receive the same help." ❤
God is so good & all of these little moments add up in such a big way. What a privilege it is to work at Samaritan's Hand & see all of the blessings unfold.
