"I found the episodes to be highly informative, extremely relevant, and I appreciate the medical/science-based approach that is taken." — Laurel Rice, listener with lived experience

iaedp Voices on AiR is built on the same foundation as everything iaedp does: evidence, integrity, and a commitment to practice that keeps pace with the science.

Good news!! World Eating Disorders Action launches our theme for 2026 and asks you to please amplify and use what you need to push for action now and all the way to June 2!

STOP STIGMA means share the truth: Eating disorders affect people of all genders, ages, races, professions, ethnicities, body shapes and weights, sexual orientations, immigration/citizen status and socioeconomic statuses. are brain-based illnesses, with biologic and genetic factors and can be treated! We will dispel myths and share correct information.

START CARE means that early detection and early intervention with evidence-based treatment is critical. It also means that care can start regardless of how long you have been affected by an eating disorder.

Start Care also means that across the globe there is limited or no access to evidence based treatment in many areas, irrespective of a country’s income status. We see rural/urban divides, health care deserts, and lack of care across the globe.

To Start Care we call on countries to include evidence based treatment of eating disorders in national policy guidelines, establish or increase service delivery and training of providers, and for organizations to work together to ensure access.

TOGETHER means you are joining millions of us from 60+ countries around the world to Stop Stigma and Start Care. It means that families and friends, health care workers, clinicians, teachers and coaches, and governments have a role.

Use: feel free to use this logo widely and we ask that you reference World Eating Disorders Action Day!

During Global Volunteer Appreciation Month, we want to take a moment to recognize the people who make the iaedp Foundation work behind the scenes.

Our committee members — across symposium planning, professional standards, education, and more — bring their clinical expertise and professional judgment to work that most people never see. They do it because they believe in this field, and in what a stronger professional community can do for the people we all serve.

There is no formula for the kind of commitment that drives volunteer work. We simply want to say: we see it, we value it, and we are grateful for it.

Wellness is more than the absence of illness. It's the presence of balance — physical, emotional, relational, and psychological. For people navigating eating disorders, that balance is the work of treatment. For practitioners, it's the work of their career. On International Wellness Day, iaedp recognizes every professional committed to supporting the whole person, not just a symptom.
