🎉 Big congratulations to Annzlee!! 🎉

Annzlee has been coming to Wood Therapy Services for Speech and Occupational Therapy since 2023, and this week she officially graduated from BOTH therapies! 👏✨

We have loved watching her grow, work hard, and make so much amazing progress along the way. While we’ll definitely miss seeing her smiling face around the office, we are SO proud of everything she has accomplished!

✨ Meet the Owners of Wood Therapy Services ✨

Joshua Carroll and Shana Wood Carroll are the heart behind Wood Therapy Services—and proud natives of Shelby, NC! Both are alumni of Crest High School and have deep roots in the community they serve.

Shana is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Western Carolina University and spent 12 years with Rutherford County Schools before opening her own speech therapy practice. Her passion for helping children and families is what laid the foundation for Wood Therapy Services.

Josh has over 20 years of experience in physical therapy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill and his Doctorate from Elon University. Josh joined Wood Therapy Services in 2021, where he founded and continues to lead our Physical Therapy department, expanding the care and services we’re able to offer.

Together, Shana and Josh have six children, three dogs, and love spending time as a family—whether that’s at concerts, supporting their kids, or cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs on the weekends 🐶🎶🏈

We’re proud to be a locally owned, family-run practice serving our community and beyond! 💙

Does your child struggle to communicate their wants, needs, or ideas?

You may have heard of AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication), but there are many misconceptions—especially for children with Autism (ASD).

✨ AAC is not “giving up on speech.”
✨ AAC does NOT prevent a child from talking.
