🎉 Holiday Spirit Week is coming to Wood Therapy Services – Shelby Office! 🎉

We’re so excited to celebrate the week of December 15–19 with our kiddos! Each day will have a fun theme, and we’d love for your child to join in on the holiday cheer during their therapy sessions. 🎄✨

📚 Monday – Polar Express Day: Wear your comfiest pajamas!
🎬 Tuesday – Christmas Character Day: Dress up as your favorite Christmas movie character!
🦌 Wednesday – Reindeer Day: Wear your favorite reindeer headband or shiny nose!
🧦 Thursday – Tacky Sweater/Sock Day: Break out your silliest sweater or festive socks!
❤️💚 Friday – Christmas Colors Day: Wear bright and cheerful holiday colors!

We can’t wait to see everyone’s festive outfits and celebrate the season together at Wood Therapy Services! ❤️💚

Our elf friend Pixie arrived from the North Pole today to spread cheer at Wood Therapy Forest City office today! We can't wait to see the exciting things Pixie does to help cheer all of our friends on everyday!

✨ October is AAC Awareness Month ✨
AAC stands for Augmentative & Alternative Communication, and it’s all about supporting people who communicate in different ways. 💬
AAC can look different for everyone:
👐 Sign language
📖 Picture boards & communication books
📱 Speech-generating devices & apps
💻 Text-to-speech programs
🗣️ Gestures, facial expressions, and body language
No matter the method, all forms of communication are valid. Every person deserves a voice, and AAC helps make that possible. 💙
This month, let’s spread awareness, celebrate AAC users, and remind the world that communication is more than just spoken words — it’s connection, expression, and empowerment. 🌍💡
