🐣🌸 EASTER HELP NEEDED 🌸🐣

Our Shelby Manor family is getting ready for a FUN month of Easter celebrations, and we need YOUR help to make it extra special! 💛

There are a couple of easy (and fun!) ways you can pitch in:

🧺 #1 – Easter Baskets Needed!
We are hoping to collect about 10-15 Easter baskets filled with goodies! Please make baskets gender neutral! 🎁
✨ You can use items from the dollar store or even unused items from home (anything is special to them)
✨ Just put them in a basket and make it cute & festive! — I’ll attach some pictures for reference or ideas! Restaurant gift cards are okay! We occasionally do food runs to restaurants or coffee shops. ✅☕️
‼️NEED BASKETS by Monday morning April 6th ‼️

🐰 #2 – Egg Hunt Donations!
We’re having an Easter Egg Hunt THIS Friday and need LOTS of help filling eggs! 🥚
✔️ Please send in plastic eggs with candy already inside (HUGE time saver 🙌)
✔️ OR small individually wrapped candy (mini Reese’s, Hershey Kisses, etc.)
‼️NEED PRE-FILLED EGGS THIS FRIDAY April 3rd ‼️

⏰ Deadlines:
Pre-Stuffed Eggs: FRIDAY – April 3rd
Baskets: Monday April 6th

We know it’s short notice, but we’ve been busy making lots of special moments happen here!

Spring has officially sprung, and we welcomed it the best way we know how—together and outdoors! 🌸☀️

Our walking club spent the morning soaking up the sunshine, breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying the simple beauty of the season. The birds were chirping, the flowers were blooming, and smiles were everywhere.

Moments like these remind us just how special it is to slow down and enjoy the little things. 💛

In January, we lost one of our very special resident, Ms. Ruth Wade. She leaves behind a lasting impact on all of us, and she is deeply missed. ❤️

Most of you may know her daughter, Kim Wade Matheney. She was always helping at Shelby Manor and involved so much with all the residents! Kim is hosting a fundraiser in honor of her mother’s life. I will be attaching a photo with all of the details shared directly from Kim, including her Venmo information.

✨Smiles at Creekside (The Clock)! ✨

Today was one for the books! Our Shelby Manor crew enjoyed a wonderful outing to Creekside, where we filled our bellies with delicious food, shared laughter, and made the sweetest memories together. 💛

From heartfelt conversations to lots of smiles around the table, it was such a joy to spend this special time together. We were especially excited to have some of our residents join us on their very first field trip with us—it made the day even more special!

A HUGE thank you to Rockstar Rick for tagging along and helping our Activity Director Chelsey take such great care of our little SM family. Your support means more than you know! 🙌

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day fun at Shelby Manor! 🍀

Yesterday was filled with smiles, sweet treats, and lots of festive cheer! Our residents enjoyed cupcakes, chocolate-covered pretzels, popcorn, trail mix, and delicious shamrock floats. 💚

I didn’t capture as many pictures as I would’ve liked, but I can promise it was a wonderful time shared by all. And we had a room FULL! Moments like these are what make Shelby Manor so special! Staff also participated and enjoyed the experience!

A very special thank you to Mr. Chris Guffey for coming to Shelby Manor and sharing his incredible piano talent with our residents. 🎹

Music has such a special way of bringing joy, memories, and comfort, and Mr. Guffey truly blessed our community with his beautiful playing. Our residents absolutely love when he visits — many were already asking when he’ll be back before he even left!

We are so grateful for the time and talent he shares with us. Thank you, Mr. Guffey, for making our day so special! 💙
