Today is National HIV Testing Day. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is the virus that, if left untreated, can lead to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Our clinic is ready to help you and offers low-cost HIV testing, no appointment necessary! Our clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm and is located at 200 South Post Rd, Shelby, NC 28209.

The Cleveland County Health Department partners with Cleveland County Schools to provide School Health services by Public Health Nurses in our schools. School nurses are part of a team of Specialized Instructional Support Personnel (SISP) as qualified professional personnel involved in providing assessment, diagnosis, counseling, educational, therapeutic, and other necessary services. The school nurse functions in a pivotal role that bridges healthcare and education through provision of care coordination, advocacy for quality student-centered care, and collaboration to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential.

Ready to make a difference in our community? Hygiene items are essential, but not always accessible. Please help us collect unopened and unused hygiene items to benefit youth in Cleveland County. These items will be distributed through our School Health Nurses.

We're taking donations now through July 31st, 2023.
