Despite the rainy weather we were able to serve 734 families yesterday at the food bank! In addition to the produce from Dare to Care Food Bank, we also distributed 150 gallons of milk and 3000 pounds of Purnell's "Old Folks" Sausage!

Well the weather outside isn't the best today, but we're hoping March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb! There's still time to register for the Kingdom 5K - Shelbyville on March 21. It's an opportunity to enjoy the spring weather, get some exercise and support local non profits!

Two of our graduates have offered to take the men in the recovery program to Winter Jam at the Yum Center on March 7! They can take care of transportation and coordination.

They are asking if anyone could help donate to cover the cost of entry to concert. The tickets are $15 per person and we have a total of 15 guys. We would love for them to get the opportunity to go worship together!

Brandon Gossett stepped into the role of Director of Operations in the summer of 2024. He brought with him God given abilities in administration, organization, and workforce development but more importantly he came with a heart to serve Jesus. Brandon listens carefully and fully, offering prayer and counsel. He helps troubleshoot obstacles with wisdom and makes sure that the behind the scenes details stay on track.

We are grateful for our time with Brandon! The impact that he has made on Awake will continue long into the future as Edith Camacho steps into the role. We will miss Brandon, but we trust that God has great plans for him and will continue to work through him in this new season!

P.S. "Cacaw" is the sound we would make to let Brandon know that we're coming up to his office to see him 😄

On the 4th Wednesday of each month we have packed bags of frozen meat to distribute along with the weekly fruits, veggies, bread and cans. Our volunteers showed up ready to serve joyfully today!
