Please share to all with small children. Outside the weather will be frightful and the Shelbyville Festival of Lights is sorry to cancel this event. Because it is so close to Christmas and everyone is busy it will not be rescheduled.

What is Shelby County ROSC?

This is our local Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Council established through IDHS to foster the development of a strong recovery-focused care system in our area. They are striving, with community stakeholders, to develop a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that is person-centered and builds on the strengths and resilience of individuals, families, and communities to experience recovery and improved health, wellness, and quality of life for those with or at risk of substance use and/or co-occurring conditions.

If you're looking to volunteer to help this organization, you can attend the regularly monthly meetings every second Tuesday of the month at 3:30pm at 155 S Morgan St., Shelbyville, Illinois.

Sobriety during the holidays can happen, by staying close to a recovery community, practicing safe and smart coping strategies and encouraging hope!

When we share in the solution, we create a community where recovery is understood, supported, and celebrated.

Everyone is encouraged to participate by sharing resources and local recovery meeting lists, encouraging others to take care of themselves, and showing support for those affected by substance use. Together, we can support one another in having a sober and fun holiday season! 🙂
