FREE LAUNDRY DAY STATS for April. We had laundry day yesterday and helped at least 24 people in Shelby Co in having clean clothes. It was such a nice day connecting with each other and talking about life as everyone's clothes got cleaned.

24 people supported.
38 washes.
43 drys.

Next laundry day is May 14th. Every Second Thursday of the month, more info in flyer here.

Most people think the work is about removing alcohol.

It is not.

It is about understanding why you reach for it in the first place.

Because when you start building self respect, self awareness and a bit of honesty with yourself, something shifts.

You stop needing the escape.

You stop needing the numbing.

You stop negotiating with something that was quietly taking more than it ever gave.

Sobriety is not the end goal.

It is the byproduct of finally backing yourself.

During this month it is a good opportunity to think about your relationship with alcohol, talk to your kids and family members about the impact of alcohol, and to check into the prevention and recovery resources that are available.
