Winter weather can turn a simple walk into a slipping hazard. Stay safe on icy sidewalks and parking lots with these fall-prevention tips from your physical therapy team:

✔️ Wear shoes with good traction (skip the smooth soles!)
✔️ Take small, slow steps—think penguin walk 🐧
✔️ Keep your hands free (use a backpack instead of carrying items)
✔️ Watch for black ice—it’s sneaky and hard to see
✔️ Strengthen your balance and leg muscles to stay steady
