Seniors Helping Seniors wants to celebrate our clients who have dedicated their lives to their families. National Homemaker Day is on November 3rd. This day is dedicated to appreciating individuals who run their homes, often while managing cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and emotional well-being. It's a day to celebrate both women and men who turn a house into a home. If you are a homemaker, you are encouraged to take the day to rest.

Seniors Helping Seniors will be collecting donations of socks for seniors that will receive Christmas gifts through this initiative in Johnson County. If you are interested in donating socks to go into these gifts during the holiday season please drop them off at our office at 6001 N US Highway 31, suite 9, Whiteland Monday through Friday from 12pm to 3pm. For every pair you drop off your name will go into a drawing giveaway by Seniors Helping Seniors!

Here is the November 2025 Community Meal Menu for Johnson County. Please share and use this menu-there is at least one church serving a meal each weeknight during the month (and some nights there are two meal locations.)

Note also the in-person Thanksgiving Day Banquet hosted by the community at Scott Hall at the Johnson County Fairgrounds from 11am-2pm. Delivery meals are available to those who are homebound.

Seniors Helping Seniors, the Krughoff and Jordan families, the office staff, and our dedicated caregivers are very excited to announce the official opening of our office location in Whiteland.

We are proud to bring our mission providing seniors with the ability to choose an independent lifestyle in their own home for as long as possible and to be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. We look forward to working side by side with everyone in Johnson County as a dedicated community partner.

Although we still have a few cosmetic things to complete, our tentative office hours will begin next week, Monday-Friday 10:00-3:00 but we can be reached at any time at 317-604-5520. The office is located at 6001 N US Highway 31, Suite 9, Whiteland. (the new sign hasn't been placed yet)
