Pelvic floor therapy while postpartum makes such a difference in recovery and gearing up to have another future pregnancy! I’ll say it again, the pelvic floor must yield to baby during birth!
Come see me to evaluate your pelvic floor tension, tone, strength and any symptoms that are on going and just doesn’t feel quite right. 🫶🏻

I see women who whisper,
“I just don’t want to end up in a diaper.”

They aren’t chasing a six-pack.
They’re chasing independence and freedom.

They want to walk their dog without mapping bathrooms.
Laugh with their grandkids without crossing their legs.
Ditch the panty liner “just in case.”
Stay in their homes as they age.

This is what muscle really means.
Longevity.

Your pelvic floor and core are part of the system that keeps you upright, dry, and confident. When they’re weak or uncoordinated, incontinence shows up. Balance fades. Fear sneaks in. Tension uproars. Life starts to shrink.

(Seriously, people begin to stay home)

But here’s the hope:
Muscle is trainable at any age.
Strength is something you can build.

Every intentional movement is a vote for the woman you’re becoming.
The one who moves freely.
The one who trusts her body.
The one who ages in place with confidence.

You are not broken.
Your body is asking for support.
And it’s never too late to give it what it needs.

Ps
I miss summer

As a pelvic floor OT, I’m all about small daily modifications that add up for better health 😊 nothing daunting, just things that make you feel good!

Constipation sucks! MiraLAX is the typical solution when you ask providers. Or even better, you have to go into the ER and after your high dollar X-ray they suggest a clean out and then they don’t educate you on a daily regimen to prevent it from happening to you or your child again.
✨ It’s because they’re not pelvic floor therapists.
MiraLAX is not meant for children under 16 and it’s not great for long term use… contact me to help with constipation! (Even if you typically go 1-2x a week, we can improve that!)

Chronic stress and past trauma can take a real toll on your pelvic floor. When your nervous system reads something as a threat, it automatically shifts into fight or flight—and your body adapts, whether you realize this or not. That ongoing pattern can drive pain. I don’t just treat symptoms, I help break the pain cycle.

Back pain and core weakness are like Tom & Jerry — always seen together, constantly blamed on each other, but definitely not on the same team 😅

Let me assess your core and manage your pain with therapeutic techniques that will improve your pain same day!!

The real reason you’re always searching for the bathroom…

Your brain and bladder are in cahoots… 🧐

I always ask my patients about how often they use the bathroom, what they’re drinking and eating, how they sleep, anxiety and depression levels, medications they take, etc etc etc.

a lot of times we have created the mad dash to the bathroom and it can often lead to leaking as soon as you unbutton (SO frustrating) and we have to re-wire the system for better bladder and pelvic floor function.

Come see me, you’ll be able to hold your bladder 2-3 hours again and will stop searching for the bathroom and get back to living your life!!

Do you wear a pad when you exercise? Are you doing all the “right” things and still not feeling strong? Do you still see doming in your abdomen after pregnancy? You could have diastasis recti and it’s getting worse because you’re not properly using your core and managing intra-abdominal pressure!! I see this all the time. I was so happy to be able to help a mama close her separation, perform box jumps with no leaks, and feel stronger and more supported. If this sounds like you, come see me!

The best thing you can do for your pelvic health is to learn how to breathe. In a lot of cases it is to promote relaxation for the pelvic floor… to eliminate bowel or bladder, to have a baby, reducing pain and managing intra-abdominal pressure… but its also to help promote a healthy nervous system. The 4 & 8 rule is perfect to stimulate your vagus nerve and promote calmness in heavy, emotional, stressful times.

Our bodies were designed to have a bowel movement in a squatting position. This position naturally opens the pelvic floor, reduces straining, and supports healthy pressure management in the core and pelvis.
It’s simple, it’s natural… and honestly? Everyone poops.
Men, women, kids — every single body can benefit from better bathroom posture.

Your pelvic floor will thank you ✨
