Thinking about the turkey sandwich you're going to make with your Thanksgiving leftovers? 🍽Here are some tips to make sure those leftovers don't make you sick:
☑️ Make sure the leftovers are refrigerated in small shallow containers at least two hours after your Thanksgiving meal.
☑️ Foods that should be re-heated (like turkey or sides) should be heated to at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. 🌡
⏲Thanksgiving leftovers are safe to eat for up to four days when stored in the refrigerator. In the freezer, leftovers are safely frozen indefinitely but will keep the best quality for two to six months.

Please check on your neighbors, especially those who may need extra assistance.

Call 911 for emergencies.

Generators can be helpful when the power goes out, but it is very important to know how to use them safely to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning (CO) and other hazards.
➡️Generators and fuel should always be used OUTDOORS and at least 20' away from windows, doors, and attached garages.
➡️Install working carbon monoxide detectors on every level of your home. Carbon monoxide is a colorless gas that can kill you, your family, and your pets.
➡️Keep the generator dry and protected from rain or flooding. Touching a wet generator or devices connected to one can cause electrical shocks.
➡️Always connect the generator to appliances with heavy-duty extension cords. Let the generator cool before refueling. Fuel spilled on hot engine parts can ignite.
➡️Follow manufacturer's instructions carefully.

Are you getting ready to cook your Thanksgiving turkey? 🍽️ Be sure to use a food thermometer to make sure your turkey has reached a safe internal temperature of 165°F . 🌡 Check by inserting a food thermometer into three places:
1. Avoiding bone: the thickest part of the breast
2. Where body and thigh join, aiming toward the thigh
3. Where body and wing join, aiming toward wing

No matter what you're hunting for, who you're hunting with, or where you're hunting – please always remember the four main rules of firearm safety, otherwise known as TABK:
➡️Treat every firearm as if it was loaded.
➡️Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
➡️Be certain of your target, what is before and beyond it.
➡️Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
