SEASONAL AFFECT DISORDER (SAD)
Occurs during winter months with LESS daylight hours 🌘
Signs & Symptoms:
🌿Feeling gloom & doom😞
🌿Lack of energy
🌿Not wanting to get out of bed
🌿Excuses not to go out
🌿Stays in PJ’s when able to
🌿Craving sweets & comfort food 🍩🍪🍫
🌿Binge watching TV 📺
HOW TO SHAKE YOURSELF OUT OF IT!!! 💪🏼😉
🌿GET DRESSED as soon as you wake up, even if staying home!
🌿DONT COVER your windows so you can see more light in bedroom
🌿ADRENAL SUPPORT ask for help for proper guidance)
🌿MAKE WEEKLY PLANS with a friend (coffee, Tea, walks)
🌿HEAD STRAIGHT TO THE BEACH fresh air somehow makes things seem brighter!! Yes even in the winter!!! ☀️
🌿Commit to LOW-SUGAR desserts or LOW CARBS 🚫 to prevent binging
🌿SLOW WALK on treadmill feels good
🌿VOLUNTEER at an animal shelter (nobody can be sad around puppies)
