After hearing the complaints of many patients that they can’t find a good doctor who will spend time with them and listen to their issues, I realize that medical schools may need to modify their admissions criteria to recognize interpersonal and management skills being as important as intelligence and grades.

The outpouring of cards, gifts, calls and well wishes has been overwhelming. I cannot tell you all how much I appreciate it and how much I will miss you all. I look forward to my career change and seeing many of you again as I move to the Princeton Longevity Center in Shelton.

As most of you have heard, I will be leaving Nuvance Health on June 30th, 2022. As you might imagine, it was a very difficult decision to leave the Darien/New Canaan area after 30 years of practice. It has been my sincere honor to have taken care of so many amazing patients throughout the years - seeing us all grow just a bit older together. I will miss all of you dearly.

Nuvance Health will be sending out letters to each of you with information on continuing your healthcare with another Nuvance provider. They will have all of your records and the transition should be seamless.

As my patient, you know that I have always considered preventative health care as the most important aspect of a physician-patient relationship. As many of you know, there has been extensive construction surrounding the Darien office. As this construction is slated to continue for some time, we will be relocating to the New Canaan office starting November 1st. If you have not been contacted regarding an upcoming appointment, you will be contacted in the very near future. You will not need to transfer your records at we are still affiliated with Nuvance Health. Below is our new office address and contact information.

Just curious…some of my patients have told me that they have received a call telling them that I am no longer practicing in Darien. This is not correct. I am still located at 36 Old Kings Highway South. Please let me know if you have received such a call. Thank you! Dr. S
