Patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease who have high blood iron levels may be at an increased risk for developing the most common type of liver cancer, according to new research.

Although only a small fraction of NAFLD patients eventually develop hepatocellular carcinoma, if the findings are confirmed, it might help identify those at an increased risk for developing HC.

It is believed that there may be a genetic component to developing Crohn’s Disease!

Around 20% of people diagnosed with this condition have a blood relative with an IBD or other autoimmune condition. Other risk factors that may be involved in developing or activating Crohn’s Disease include: age , to***co, certain medications such as Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen and often diets high in fat or refined food contribute to Crohn’s Disease.
