Nourishing Your Pregnancy & feeding the lifeline within ✨

What you eat during pregnancy truly matters for both you and baby. Your nutrition supports SO. MANY. THINGS….. your energy, your blood volume, your uterus and breast tissue growth, and the development of your baby’s brain and body systems. Think of food as the building blocks for birth!

Try your best to focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods:
• Vegetables (especially leafy greens)
• Quality proteins (aim for 70–90g daily)
• Pasture-raised meats & poultry
• Fruit
• Complex carbohydrates like rice, oatmeal, millet, and quinoa

Protein is especially important, it supports fetal growth, helps increase healthy blood volume (which rises 40–60% in pregnancy!), and may even reduce risks associated with low protein intake.

💧 Hydration is JUST as important. Adequate water intake supports circulation, amniotic fluid levels, swelling management, and overall wellness. Aim for consistent hydration throughout the day adding lemon, fruit, or electrolytes can help if plain water feels hard!!

Remember that Your nourishment also gently supports the health of your placenta the beautiful lifeline between you and your baby!!! Adequate protein, iron, healthy fats, and steady hydration help encourage healthy blood flow and nutrient exchange. Choosing balanced, whole foods can support stable blood sugar and overall circulation. When you care for your body with intention, you’re quietly caring for the connection that sustains your baby every day. Your body is preparing for the marathon of birth. Nourish it well 🤍

MOMMY GROUP - TUMMY TIME CLASS
Thursday, February 19th, 10am
Join local PT Andrea Butler for TummyTime!®️ Method Class, a therapeutic method of doing tummy time that can be used to help with lots of different challenges from feeding and latching, difficulty with head turning and body tension to gas and discomfort etc! Snacks for mamas provided! Entertainment for older kids will be available as well! Class limited so let us know if you will be making it ahead of time ✨

❄️ Weather Update ❄️
For everyone’s safety, we’ll be opening a bit later next week to allow road conditions to improve!

🕛 Monday: Open at 12:00 PM
🕚 Tuesday: Open at 11:00 AM

Our midwives remain on call as always, but we’re pushing clinic start times to give ice time to melt and keep our mamas and staff safely off the roads when possible.

As we enter 2026, we’re reflecting on a year full of powerful births and meaningful moments 🤍

✨ Our babies came in beautifully their own time! only 10% were born on their due date, with many arriving after 41 weeks, reminding us how normal it is for birth to unfold naturally.
✨ We welcomed a slightly higher number of boys (55%) than girls (45%).
✨ Nearly half of our families were first-time moms, with an average birthing parent age of 31.

You may notice our midwife statistics reflect a special transition this year we proudly welcomed a new midwife to our team, Midwife Katelyn! Each birth represents the same dedication, skill, and heart behind the Addice!

We adore all of our midwives and are endlessly grateful for the way they show up for our families! steady hands, compassionate hearts, and unwavering support through every birth.

Thank you to every family who trusted us with one of the most sacred moments of their lives. 2025, you were unforgettable ✨
