Join us for a hands-on journey into the world of botanical medicine and herbalism. Learn how to create your own home apothecary using locally grown herbs, and explore the foundational principles of herbal healing.
 
Throughout the series, we’ll build a deep and seasonal relationship with plants and herbal remedies, keeping the experience both meaningful and fun. You’ll have the opportunity to craft herbal oils, syrups, tea blends, tonics, nourishing treats, and more—and take home a special creation from each class.
 
🗓4th Saturday of each month at Tonic. Classes run April through December
💰$45 per class or $225 for the full series (one free class!)

Our mission is to provide safe, effective & affordable herbal care to our community through in-depth, in-person consultations and customized herbal formulations tailored just for you.

In partnership with students, this hands-on learning experience deepens their clinical skills under a clinical herbalist.

How do consultations work?
We ask clients to commit to 3 sessions:
🌱 Initial appointment (90 min)
🌱 2 follow-ups (45 min each)
🌱Thursdays from 9:30am – 2:30pm

Cleavers is a known for being a creeping plant with clinging leaves that easily stick to you. 
 
It gently stimulates the lymphatic system and is a diuretic useful for inflammation of the bladder. Cleavers can also help promote health kidney function, making them a great springtime tonic.
 
Fun fact: Cleavers used to be used as mattress stuffing!

Our favorite sidewalk “weed” is starting to sprout! All parts are edible and are packed with nutrients. The leaf is a bitter tonic that helps aid with digestion, increases absorption, and is a diuretic. The root is a bitter, increases bile production and is useful for aiding a sluggish liver.
 
It helps nourishes the body while flushing the system of excess fluids without depleting potassium. Add dandelion into your salads, tinctures, teas, and more!

Known as “the wonder tree”, moringa is native to India and has been used for everything from food, to building materials, and also for its medicinal properties. Every part of the tree is useable and the flower is widely used in Ayurveda.
