💜 Today we are not asking ourselves to fix everything. We are not asking ourselves to be unaffected, or unbothered, or strong in ways that cost us our health.
Instead, we are practicing something quieter and more powerful: protecting our peace.💪🏻
Protecting our peace doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means choosing where our energy goes. 🩵
It means noticing when we are becoming overwhelmed and giving ourselves permission to pause.
Gratitude, today, is not about pretending everything is okay.
Gratitude is noticing what is steady:
• the breath that keeps coming
• the body that has carried us through hard things
• the fact that we are here, together, choosing recovery and care
Peace is not something we earn by doing more.
Peace is something we allow by doing less harm to ourselves.
Today, we remind ourselves:
I am allowed to log off.
I am allowed to step back.
I am allowed to say “not today” to conversations, content, and commitments that dysregulate me.
Self-care today may look very simple:
drinking water
moving gently
resting without guilt
reaching for safe people
or just getting through the next hour sober and present
We don’t have to carry the whole world on our shoulders to be good people. We are allowed to take care of ourselves and still care deeply.
So today, we move forward with gratitude for what is enough right now, and with a commitment to protect our peace— because our healing matters. 🩵
