📣 📣 📣 We appreciate all our patients and are sincerely thankful for the friendships that we have built while serving our community for more than 30 years. Your trust and kindness have helped make SPTC what it is today, and we treasure every relationship formed along the way.

Mrs. Tina has been sick and was admitted to the hospital last week. While we are doing our best to respect their privacy, we do want to apologize for having to reschedule your appointments at such short notice and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your patience, understanding and grace mean a great deal to us as we strive to balance Tina's needs and continue providing the best care for our patients.

Mrs. Tina is on the road to recovery. Should you wish to send her a card or words of encouragement to brighten her day, you are welcome to mail them or drop them off at the clinic. Roger will be more than happy to deliver them to her. And of course, prayers are always welcome!

💥Plantar Fasciitis? Had Foot/Ankle Surgery? We can help! 💥 Roger is familiar with foot patients partly because Dr Robinette, the Pine Bluff podiatrist, has held a monthly clinic right inside Sheridan Physical Therapy Clinic for many years. 💥Many foot patients seek help for plantar fasciitis. Treatment includes stretching and strengthening the arch and modalities such as ultrasound to decrease inflammation. 💥In contrast, physical therapy for patients after foot surgery focuses more on regaining flexibility in the joints of the foot. These patients all receive (comfortable) hands-on mobilization techniques. 💥Sometimes the fluid filled sack (bursa) at the lower end of the heel cord becomes inflamed. Then an iontophoresis machine is used to painlessly deliver cortisone to the area (no needles!) 💥If you’re not sure exactly what your feet need, you can come by an let Roger provide a free screening!

KNEE PAIN, KNEE (OA) OSTEOARTHRITIS? Whether you need a TKA (Total Knee Arthroplasty/Replacement) or if you choose to go the non-operative route and see us for strengthening and pain relief, WE CAN HELP!

We also treat patients pre and/or postoperatively for ACL, meniscus tears, and patellar dislocations as well as many other knee conditions. In one-on-one sessions, you will learn the best, specific exercises for your knee pain.

💥Your elbow hurts. Meds aren't helping. Now what?💥Chances are good that you won't need an orthopedist right away. More often than not, Physical Therapy can help. Both tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) and golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis) respond very well to a combination of thermal continuous and pulsed ultrasound. Our machines deliver sound waves deep into the elbow where they return into gentle heat. This decreases inflammation and increases blood flow to speed healing. Also important is the right brand of elbow brace. (The really cheap ones slide and don't work well!)
Therapuetic exercises are also vital. While anyone can find elbow stretches and strengthening exercises on the internet, the trick is to do the stretches correctly and to introduce strengthening gradually. Excessive strengthening while the elbow is still healing can actually temper your recovery. If surgery such as a biceps repair has been done, we carefully progress your therapy to prevent setbacks and additional pain. Again, the therapist has to start generally and progress to more aggressive rehab.

SHOULDER PAIN? WE CAN HELP! We have treated numerous patients following shoulder surgeries from Rotator Cuff (RTC) Repairs to Total Shoulder Arthroplasty (TSA) and everything in between.

We can also help with a variety of non-operative shoulder problems such as pain when raising the arm above shoulder level which can be "Impingement" or a shoulder that has painful and limited movement in all directions, a "Frozen Shoulder" or Adhesive Capsulitis. We also treat shoulder sprains, strains, inflammation (Bursitis) and even Tendonitis caused by overuses of the shoulder.

Your back hurts. Rest and meds aren't helping. We can help! Roger's hands-on therapy has helped hundreds of patients in over 35 years of practice. We use manual therapy techniques to gently loosen your back and release restrictions. Deep thermal ultrasound and comfortable electrotherapy can further relax muscle spasms.

You will receive a detailed examination prior to your treatment, then specialized treatment approaches will be matched to your specific problem. We treat patients with back sprain and strain, bulging discs, sciatica, stenosis, scoliosis, arthritis, (degenerative disc/joint disease) spondylosis, bone spurs, and sacroiliac problems. If surgery was done, we can strengthen weak muscles and address remaining muscle tightness.

You can usually be seen within 24 hours of your call. We can accept any doctor's prescription, and almost all health insurance and worker's comp. (If you don't have a prescription we can still see you.) So stop hurting - come by!
