Please keep the Christy family in your prayers.
Donald "Don" Lee Christy, born on February 26, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, left this world on February 5, 2026, in Sheridan, Indiana. A beloved father and grandfather, Don was known for his warm personality and a heart that never forgot to care for those around him. He spent a fulfilling career as a millwright at Chrysler in Kokomo, Indiana, retiring in 2005 after years of dedicated service.
A proud graduate of Sheridan High School, class of 1961, Don exemplified the spirit of perseverance and hard work. He proudly served in the Army Reserves, a testament to his commitment and duty to his country. Don’s life was filled with a myriad of interests and hobbies – from tinkering and building things to racing stock cars and riding motorcycles. He was an inventive soul who never shied away from a challenge and found joy in understanding how things worked.
Don was a loving father, blessed with four children: sons Darren Christy, Christopher (Jennifer) Christy-Griffin, Jason Shane (Connie) Christy, and daughter Tera (Brett) Kellam. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Drake, Gage (Gabriella), Halee, Jace, Cole, and Stone, considering them his proudest accomplishments. His generous spirit and kindhearted nature were reflected in the laughter he shared with everyone he met; he never met a stranger and could easily bring joy to those around him.
In addition to his remarkable family, Don is survived by his brother John (Marsha) Christy and several nieces and nephews, who will hold his memory close to their hearts. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Charlene L. (Moreland) Christy in 2018, his brother Ronald Christy, and his parents Dorris and Evelyn (Crail) Christy
Donald was also known for his unique creative flair and was a passionate fan of Donald Trump, showcasing his vibrant personality through his varied interests and love for life. His spirit remains in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him, living on in the laughter and love he so generously shared. The Family is planning a Celebration of Don's Life.

Karen Rose Inman, born on February 12, 1944, in Noblesville, Indiana, departed this life peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Sheridan, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. A proud member of the Sheridan High School Class of 1962, Karen embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication throughout her life.
In her early career, Karen spent a few years working at Western Electric, but her true passion lay in nurturing her family. She was a devoted housekeeper and primarily focused on raising her daughters, mirroring her loving and caring nature. Known for her vibrant personality, she could never sit still and had an innate ability to make friends wherever she went, ensuring that no one was ever a stranger to her.
Karen dedicated much of her life to pursuing hobbies that brought her joy, including quilting and gardening. These interests not only allowed her to express her creativity but also highlighted her nurturing spirit, as she took great pleasure in taking care of everyone around her. Her family was her proudest accomplishment, especially her grandchildren, who brought immense joy and fulfillment to her life.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Karen Inman (Phil Schultz) of Grayslake, Illinois, and Mary (Chris) Moudy of Frankfort, Indiana. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Sadie (Fiancé Ryan Jones) Schultz, Cora (Caleb) Brzezinski, Matthew Moudy, Max (Shelby) Moudy, and Chloe Moudy. In addition, Karen is remembered by her sisters Pam Ranney, Sue Stubbs, and Alice Book, and her brothers Robert and Mike Grimes. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her.
Karen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles "Chuck" Inman, in 2021, as well as her sisters Mary Rice and Patsy Grimes and brother Larry Grimes. The love she shared and the memories made will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will take place on February 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Six Points Church, located at 1545 West 226th Street, Sheridan, IN 46069. The gathering will be a time of remembrance, honoring the life of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.

Memorial Monday! Today we take a moment to remember Paul V. Wright Jr., age 67, of Sheridan who passed away on January 23, 2016 in Noblesville, Indiana.

He was born on October 22, 1948 to the late Paul V. Sr. and Agnes (Williams) Wright in Indianapolis, Indiana. Paul is a graduate from the Lawrence Central High School class of 1966. Paul served honorably in the United States Army. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and later obtained a Broker License. Paul was a Vietnam Veteran where he was awarded the Bronze Star and became a Purple Heart Recipient. He retired as an Appraiser for the Indiana Department of Transportation. Paul, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and man of God, was a member of the Sheridan First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 67 in Sheridan, IN. He was an avid reader, loved history and spent a lot of time with his family and friends, whom will greatly miss him.

Paul and his wife Janet (Wymer) of 42 years were married on December 21, 1973 in Eagletown, Indiana. They had two children Steve (Wendy) and Rodney K. (Angela K.) Callahan. Paul was also a proud grandfather of seven, Tyler (Allison), Sara, Joseph and Callie Callahan, Whitney, Taylor and Evan Savage. He was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Aurora Savage.

Matthew Adam Doty passed away 3 years ago this month.
December 30, 1986 – January 3, 2023

Matthew Adam Doty 36, of Westfield passed away on Tuesday January 3, 2023.
He was born on December 30, 1986, in Noblesville, Indiana.
Matthew graduated from Sheridan High School, class of 2004.
Matthew wanted to help and care for people; he worked as a certified nursing assistance at a hospice facility where he took care of the needs of the patients he cared for.
He didn’t stop with just assisting at the hospice facility, he was also an advocate for equal rights and spent countless hours fighting for people.
When Matthew wasn’t working or advocating, he enjoyed watching horror films and listening to music, his favorite music genre was alternative, and his favorite band was the Smashing Pumpkins. His brother- in-law Roger has fond memories of the Smashing Pumkin’s concert the two of them went too and Matthew knew every song. Matthew also loved to cook, and he would look forward to cooking for his family.
Matthew leaves behind his loving family his mother and step- father Lisa and David Collins, his four siblings Andrea (Roger) Cooper, Jeremy (Melanie) Collins, Jason (Heidi) Collins and Jack (Sheila) Doty. He was a loving grandson to Gale and Louise Ewing. He was a nephew to Angie (Matt) Viehe and Becky (Drew) Curtis. Matthew was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cat and best friend Casper.
