At Sherman Oaks Hospital emergency departments, we're here 24/7.

⚡ Winter Safety Reminder: Keep emergency numbers handy, take preventative measures to ensure walkways don't pile up with snow or ice, and never warm your home with gas-powered equipment.

For life-threatening emergencies, always call 9-1-1. For inquiries: 818-981-7111. For more information about our ER services or to reserve your ER arrival time, visit https://shermanoakshospital.org/services/emergency-services/.

As we enter the holiday season, there’s no better time to remind everyone about the power of clean hands. Regular handwashing is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs, including cold, flu, and other infections.

🧴 Proper Handwashing Steps:

Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), apply soap, and lather up.

Rub your hands together for at least 20 seconds—don’t forget to wash the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.

Dry your hands with a clean towel or air dry them.

Handwashing is a simple habit that can protect your health and the health of others, especially during cold and flu season. Remember—clean hands save lives.

💡 Why Your Family Health History Matters:
• It can help identify conditions you might be at higher risk for
• It can help you and your doctor make informed decisions about screenings and prevention
