Meet Kaylee Kelley, a 2024 Ribbons of Opportunity Scholarship recipient, whose story reminds us why this work matters. In the midst of unimaginable loss—grieving the passing of her brother—Kaylee persevered.

Through the support of the Ribbons of Opportunity Scholarship, presented by Family 1st Counseling Center in partnership with The Eye of Caleb, Kaylee was able to continue her educational journey during one of the most difficult seasons of her life.
Her strength, resilience, and determination inspire us all. Thank you, Kaylee, for bravely sharing your story and allowing your light to shine even in the darkest moments. 💙

In 2008, the U.S. House of Representatives formally recognized July as Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month to honor her work in addressing the unique struggles and disparities faced by underrepresented groups.

Meet Timothy Dotson, a Ribbons of Opportunity Scholarship recipient, whose journey reflects resilience, faith, and determination. After losing his father, Timothy was raised in a single-parent household and faced uncertainty about whether college would even be possible.

Through the Ribbons of Opportunity Scholarship, presented by Family 1st Counseling Center in partnership with The Eye of Caleb, Timothy received the support he needed to move forward with his education—turning doubt into opportunity.

His story is a powerful reminder that access and support can change the course of a young person’s future. We are honored to be part of Timothy’s journey. 💙
