Picnic, anyone? Our residents were living their best lives in the beautiful weather at Burns Park today. There was even a horse meet-and-greet. Our calendar is packed with fun activities and events. On this Veterans Day, we salute our resident veterans and an employee veteran, honoring their commitment to our nation. We appreciate the Patriot Guard Riders' role in today's program which included the National Anthem, flag ceremony, and presentation of pins and certificates to the veterans. Afterward, residents and guests enjoyed an all-American lunch with fried chicken as the main course. Thank you to all the veterans for their unwavering dedication to our country.

Today’s lunch was a culinary delight! Our residents savored seasoned Salisbury steak with gravy, paired with parmesan mashed potatoes that were pure creamy magic. The glazed carrots added a touch of sweet elegance, complemented by warm, fluffy baked rolls. To top it all off? A dreamy peach cobbler for dessert! Our residents had a delightful time hanging out with Remi today! Remi is the furry sidekick of Josie Turner, our Director of Community Enrichment. Pet therapy is like a magic potion for seniors, boosting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It helps shoo away loneliness, anxiety, and the grumpy blues, while amping up physical activity, chit-chat, and brainpower. With pets' boundless love, residents find comfort, purpose, and maybe even a healthier heartbeat and blood pressure. Who knew wagging tails could be such health wizards?
