Built in 2006, The Heritage of Green Hills sits at the intersection of Tranquility Lane and Inspiration Boulevard in Shillington, PA, near Reading. But it’s not just our Berks County address that sets us apart from a typical retirement community. Behind our doors you’ll find a community buzzing with activity. In fact, nearly 90 percent of residents are involved in some kind of physical activity, thanks to our community-wide wellness program, Well by DesignSM. We work with each resident to determine interests, hobbies and goals they’d like to pursue, and then create customized plans to help encourage a well-rounded and engaging life. The bottom line is, we want residents to stay independent longer.

Halloween fun was in full swing at the Care Center! Residents got creative decorating pumpkins, enjoyed some trick-or-treating, and showed off their festive costumes. So many smiles, laughs, and spooky good times!

Well By Design Decor hosted four artists of the "Connect 4" exhibit which will run through December. The Four artists: Sharon McGinley, Shirley Snyder, Chris Ripnak, and Barry Steely (pictured below)

Each artist works in varying media including, collage, ink and watercolor, jewelry, and pencil color.

The Heritage was honored to support and participate in the Berks County Walk to End Alzheimer's this past weekend!
It was a beautiful morning filled with hope, remembrance, and unity as we walked to honor those currently fighting, those we've lost, and everyone impacted by Alzheimer's.
