⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"I cannot say enough amazing things about AXIS Spine and Orthopedics. I had ACDF surgery on March 13, 2026, and from the very beginning through my recovery, I felt truly cared for every step of the way.

A very special thank you to Dr. Swaz — your skill, professionalism, and confidence gave me complete peace going into surgery. I’m beyond grateful for the care you provided and the excellence you showed throughout the entire process.

I also want to recognize Grace, who is part of Dr. Swaz’s medical team. She went above and beyond by personally calling me the day after my surgery and continuing to check on me several times afterward. That level of care and follow-up truly meant a lot to me. It showed genuine compassion and dedication, and it did not go unnoticed.

I also want to give a very special thank you to Polly Sinha, PT. I just began physical therapy, and from the very first session, it was clear that she is truly gifted at what she does. Her professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care immediately gave me confidence and peace of mind during this stage of my recovery.

Polly has a way of pushing you while still making you feel supported, and that balance is rare. You can tell she’s not just doing a job — she’s passionate about helping people heal and get their lives back. Even this early on, I can already see that her skills are phenomenal, and I truly believe she is going to help me get back to the best version of myself.

To the entire staff at AXIS Spine and Orthopedics — you all are truly outstanding. The level of care, respect, and attention I received was top-tier. It’s rare to find a place where you feel genuinely valued and supported.

This experience meant everything to me. Thank you all for taking such great care of me during such an important moment in my life. I would highly recommend AXIS Spine and Orthopedics to anyone in need of exceptional care." -Curtis Scurlock

A weak core is one of the most common causes of back pain. Core muscles work as a natural corset that supports your spine and back. These muscles include abdominals, lower back, hips, pelvis, and glutes. Building these muscles can help your body in many ways and can alleviate pain in some cases. When you have strong and supportive core muscles your spine is more stable and supported, you’re able to distribute carrying loads and weights better, you’re at a reduced risk of injuring yourself, and a strong core can improve stamina for daily activities.

Your lower back hurting when seated can be caused by several factors and can make it difficult to even sit and relax comfortably. In many cases, this pain comes from increased pressure on the spinal discs due to poor posture, which significantly increases the load placed on the lower back. Other possible causes include muscle stiffness or spasms, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, and even osteoarthritis in older adults. Fortunately, there are several ways to help reduce this discomfort.

Shoulder impingement is a painful condition where the tendons in the shoulder are compressed, pinched or being rubbed by surrounding bones during movement. It’s usually caused by repetitive overhead motions like swimming, pitching, or climbing, and can cause inflammation, irritation, and structural issues like bone spurs. Luckily, this symptom can be treated with non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy, rest, activity modification, icing, and taking over the counter medication to help with pain and inflammation. If the issue persists for over 6 weeks, then that might be a sign of further help needed, like surgery or shoulder injections.
